The gradual aging of the human body is the natural cause of visual impairment. After 40-50 years of age, the lens becomes denser and loses its elasticity. It cannot change its shape to adjust vision for different distances and preserve the clarity of the image. At some point, virtually everyone needs glasses for near vision and reading.
